If Bette Davis were still alive, she’d be celebrating her 100th birthday today.

In honor of Ms. Davis centenary, Turner Classic Movies is a hosing a kick-ass, 24-hour marathon of her finest films. It started at 7:30 am EST with “Cabin in the Cotton” (from whence came Davis’ immortal line “I’d love to kiss you, but I just washed my hair!”

Following throughout the day are: The Petrified Forest, The Corn is Green, The Bride Came C.O.D., The Letter (subject of a recent, fabulous post on Self-Styled Siren), The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex, Now Voyager, All About Eve, Jezebel, Dark Victory, Dangerous, and Pocketful of Miracles.

There’s also a fine documentary – “Stardust: The Bette Davis Story” – in the middle of the schedule at 6:30 pm EST.
